So I have to vent a little bit... I'm at work and a girl I work with ALWAYS talks about her car being "fast" etc... I could really care less, so i don't ever pay attention or say anything, but tonight for some reason I just wasn't wanting to hear it for the 10 million'th time, so I said "no your car is not fast, it's a slow turd", she then replies no it's not and said something about getting her car up to 145mph... I am like O really? So I guess your stock kia doesn't have a speed governor? (she has some kia hatch, no clue what model). She then says yeah my friend removed the chip so there's no governor. I'm thinking bs, even then you would need to be going down a huge hill with the wind behind you, if it didn't fall apart first lol...

She has told me before she has a lot of guy friends that are into cars and drifting. I think I mentioned how I can't stand ricers/drifters. I asked her "I bet your friends all talk about what stage clutch, what stage turbo, what exhaust they have, and stuff like that don't they?" She is like yeah... I just laughed and left it at that.

So tonight I text message her later and say sorry for yelling at her, but I just can't stand it when people talk like they were in the fast and the furious. I also said your drifter/ricer friends are retarded and don't have a clue what they are talking about, so it just makes you look dumb when you repeat what they say. Haha not too long after that I get a call, it's her mechanic/drifter/ricer friend! He was asking me a few questions about my turbo honda...


Guy: So do you know what a pgm is? What kind were you running?

Me: WTF are you talking about? I was running uberdata and a chipped ecu, no response from him... you know, like hondata?

Guy: Oh okay yeah hondata, so what kinda harness are you running?

Me: Aaaaaaaa the stock one, it's a stock p28 ecu that was chipped.

Guy: What else you got done to the engine? What kinda cam/cam gears did you have and whats the timing advance to?

Me: It's was a stock D16 dude.

Guy: Haha yeah right you had no engine work? Your full of ----.

Me: No man, it's a stock sohc that put down 230whp and ran 12.6 @ 107mph. Go look up bbka on the internet if ya don't believe me...

Guy: Hahahahaha yeah right dude, so what's a B18c5?

Me: Aaaaaa it's a Type R motor, what does that have to do with anyhing?



Now right hear I obviously know this guy is a retard if he is seriously asking me about a ------- Type R motor. He then goes on asking me what kinda power this block and this head will put down, what kinda compression this motor has, etc... He mentioned how he has worked on cars since he was 13 and went to UTI, oh and OF COURSE he says he wants to race for pink slips! I heard him in the background talking about german cars and race shocks, etc... I'm thinking to myself, wow dude your an idiot and this conversation is going nowhere fast lol. I really don't care if you can build a car from the ground up, you still sound like a stupid ricer/drifter from the fast and the furious. The whole thing that made it hillarious was at the end of he said "I don't know how you can say her car is slow, I put the stage 2 clutch and cam/cam gears in her car myself."

I mean ---- like that just pisses me off, what the hell is a clutch and cam going to do to a stock kia?...

Cliff notes? It wasn't that long of a story. I guess the fact that I watched a little bit of the fast and the furious 3 this weekend and talking to that dumb ricer/drifter tonight just got me angry and I had to vent lol. I get a little angry everytime I see a big wing on a car too, kinda feel like hooking a tow rope to it and driving off.

Feel free to include your own dumb ricer/drifter story's...

Oh and JD, more than likely he wouldn't show or he would have some excuse like he is waiting on his stage 9 clutch to get here from japan and that he still has to tune his nawz timer to run 9's.

Don't argue with ricers, it just pisses them off and makes them spout out bullshit that makes you more pissed off and the cycle never ends. Just let the kid with the 240sx with a wing and muffler pretend he runs 12's and that he has an rb26dett when he clearly has a ka24de (kid wanted to get into a fist fight after) or the kid with the Cobra badges that has a stock V6 and claims its a "Built Cobra engine running 30 psi". I run into it all the time and try to ignore it nowadays but sometimes it's hard to. Or someone telling me its impossible to run a "free program on an ecu your friend chipped" in my civic and that I need AEM and that if I don't run a full race setup it's gonna blow. Oh, or that 450's max out at 190 whp and that my friend with a stock d15b7 + 14b @ 10 psi needs "1000cc injectors" and when I told him he's full of ---- he starts spouting off about how he's built turbo this and turbo that and yadda yadda yadda. :1
