I plan on going to the northwest in jan. (n.w. guys need info)
I just broke my hand last monday which has now left me with a 6 week vacation. I plan on taking my girl to the portland area, I used to live there (bout 12 years ago) but I havent been for about 3 years(my girl has never been).
What is the weather usually like in jan.? I know it will be cold (compared to san diego)...but will there be snow?? will it rain alot? The reason I ask is because I just bought a new car (so i dont wanna rent a car) but it's a manual (due to my broken hand) I would have to have my girl drive (i dont want her to drive in rain or snow). Depending on the weather we might take a train up( i never done that)
If we catch a train to portland, i would rent a car when we get there (rentals are auto, so i could then drive).
we'd like to drive to seattle then cross to canada (i hear they dont care too much about weed)... about how far is seattle from portland? (i've only been 2 sea. once)
also could anyone from the portland area reccomend any place's to go or see?
ill probly check out a blazer game, and check out some old cities i used to know (tigard,bevorton,lake oswego,portland,or.city....)
ill be up there for a week (maybe longer) i hope theres somethin 2 do

there is an awesome restaurant under the Morrison Bridge called The Montage or Le Bistro Montage. Its open almost till sunrise and has lots of cheap GOOD eats.
