I need some home electrical help with gfci outlets.

Ok im just copying and pasting from my post on saltwaterfish.com. I have a saltwater tank that has close to 2k into it, and don't want to lose everything for such a simple mistake.

Ok im moving into a trailer in the next couple days and i know fire and trailers don't mix at all, and saltwater and electricity easily causes fires...... so im looking at getting some gfci outlets. Now since im really broke after all the bills plus deposits today (got paid today... $1875.00 and im already down to $230. Sucks getting paid once a month, im broke already lol. damn tank. ) I can't afford to buy 3 at 12 bucks a pop. Im cruising ebay and find a set of 3 for $20. Now my question is....... they are 15 amps each. I will probably only use 2, since there is only 2 outlets where i want my tank. I have to take carefull consideration where i want my tank cuz its an old old trailer and im worried about the floor giving, so there really is only one spot i can put it. If i add it all up.... this is my electrical list starting from the top of the tank to the bottom.

1 20" current pc light
1 moon light led on the current fixture ( i know its all together, but it has its own plug for the led)
1 24" Hagen GLO t5ho
1 koralia 1 powerhead
1 mj 400 powerhead with sureflow mod 1600 gph
1 normal output t5 stand light
1 clamp on light with bulb for cheato
1 skilter 250 protien skimmer
1 stealth 250 watt heater
1 quiet one 2200 return pump
1 mj 400 in sump
1 air pump to help my little skimmer along.

So thats 12 items total running my tank. I currently have them on 2 very old powerstrips with drip loops, but i have already had an accident and almost burnt one up. So im getting new powerstrips and gfci outlets. Will 2 15 amp gfci outlets be ok with all this stuff plugged into them? Oh and 1 powerstip has all my lights and things that need to be turned off at night plugged into it, and thats plugged into a timer

my guess would be no, i believe those lamps are gonna draw more power than that just by themselves.

just go to home depot and buy a gfi splitter.

use them at work and run more ------ power off of one than your tank will use.

it'll be fine, ive had a much larger setup with 300+ watts of halide lighting and all the other bells and wistles on a 15 amp gfci for 2 years with no probs
get a coralife power center w/ timer for the lights, it also has a ci for added peace of mind
and lose the ------- skilter :-X, what is this like 1992 or something. needle wheel ftmfw

btw the real risk is as u stated the floor of a shitty old trailer. i almost droped a 90 threw the floor once.
i braced with cinder blocks a 2x4 when i noticed a sag and it was chill for another year or so
then i bought a house... man i love having a fish room in the basement ;)(mmmmmmm concrete floors)

yeah ill probably end up bracing the floor anyways, and im putting 2x4s across the bottom of the stand so all the weight isnt on 4 points. instead its all ------ out evenly.

Your breaker in the fuse panel is the main limitation. having larger strips won't help if it's greater than the breaker. IMHO you should be fine.

how large is the tank? i think I asked in the setup thread but have forgotten and cant find it.
anything 55 or larger in a trailer dont ---- around, brace that floor or you'll be sorry >:D
