I need some help guys.
I sold an item to a fellow member here and he paid. I planned to ship on saturday and he just imed me saying his truck blew up and he needs the money now. The thing is i bought a turbo spending the money i was paid for the tranny. This really puts me in a tight spot because as many of us are im a broke college kid. I have $24.24 to my name. What is my responsibility in this situation? Thanks for the advice.

Your responsibility is that you don't have to give him his money back, as long as you ship him the part. What I would do, is keep some of it as a non-refundable deposit and give him the rest, if I was in a nice mood. But you are in no way obligated to give a cent back to him.

You could have said you shipped it already, but now he would know better. 
Really though, he bought and paid, it's his now. Like everyone else said, if you're nice and want work with him, that's up to you, but you're not obligated.

Thanks. I would be willing to help for sure if i could but i work at Culvers flipping burgers on the weekends and make minimum wage. Even with my next paycheck i couldnt pay him back and that leaves me with no money for the next month at the least.
