my roommate just got a job and is moving to seattle and i need a find a roommate. I'm a mazda technician and been with the company for two years and don't make ----. i was thinking about posting listings up some place? any body know any good sites?...also rent is around $500 + electricity which last month was $287 . Is it common for people renting out rooms to up the rent?. say they pay 300$ +electricity? the area i'm in is really good, University of Texas is across the street.

its cheap to sign up and has worked for me twice. once i rented a room to someone and once i moved in with someone. its badass. i also think if you are creative there is a way around paying the fees. it seems like i did that one of the times. the other time i just paid cause i was lazy

this place is one of the cheapest around..thats not in the ghetto.. i could go for a efficiency(one room) but that'll be around $500 with bills paid.
i'ma try what PhilStubbs said and sign up with roommates.com.
