how much power are you makin?

if its not more than approx 225whp then just get some BFG drag radials for the 14's with a high profile sidewall and air them down to like 10-15 psi

dont know what sizes you can get in 14's though

mt drag radials are much better, but they don't last on the street

Are you running an open diff, or LSD?

Slicks without LSD do help, but the LSD should be your first investment. Normally only 1 tire will warm up with an open diff, then when you leave the lin, the other is cold, spins easier so the stupid oen diff naturally put power to that wheel. Kinda eliminates the purpose of slick. But the still will grab better cold them most street tires. ESPECALLY Kumho 712. THE WORST tire I have ever used at the track. My Falken Azenis were 100x better at gripping!!! Best street tire I have ever bought. Great prices too. I will probably never go to something else seeing as they re cheap and work wonders!!!!!

just search for some slicks on ebay and in the classifieds. i just picked up a brand new never mounte set of 23" m&h racemasters for 190 shipped, that's about the price of 1 usually! and no, and lsd isn't really necessarry to cut good 60's with slicks. of course it will help, but you'll own an lsd on street tires (any kind of street tires) if you have slicks and open diff, hands down.

6's on drag radials.. no way. 6'es is the record for 10.5's slicks and i dont think some drag radials will hold the power.
