I'm pretty sure that you can reverse the process. I thought the reason of backing up the original firmware was to revert back to it if something happens during the firmware upgrade or if you wanted to "unhack" it. I could be wrong, but I don't see why you couldn't go back to the original. I played online with it for months as well and never had any problems. I wanted to make a firmware toggle switch type thing so when I go online I could just revert back, but I'm quite lazy.

yeah, you can reverse it, it just entails taking your box back apart. i just meant that its not like a modchip with a flick of a switch type reversal. my bad on the confusion. i don't know if it would be able to make a toggle, but it would be sweet if you could. if i ever flash mine, theres no way i'll quit playing online with it.
