With a manual you need to upgrade the clutch to one that can withstand the higher power. With an automatic, it can be done, but you should have the tranny rebuilt with performance clutch packs etc. That can cost some serious money. I've never turbo'd an automatic, but from what I hear, they just don't last long with the added power from a turbo.

thanks guys for the info, i wanted to boost mine just because i never see it done...but if its a hassle and thats the reason why its not done ill just do the motor and tranny swap over to a manual...thanks

also, if you have a 92-95 civic tci makes an upgraded torque converter for your car that's supposed to be stronger, and have a stall speed of 2800-3000. that would mak up for some of it and retain the auto trans.
