The only problem is it's not sitting flush with the ceiling. What do you mean "what it's gonna look like?" It's gonna look like it's not sitting flush. Put it up the way I said and you'll get over the first hurdle. If you let that ---- dry and the piece isn't sitting in the right spot, you're going to hate yourself and when you lay down at night you'll only be able to think about me screaming "I TOLD YOU BITCHBOY. WHATCHU THOUGHT IT WAS GROUND GROBBLIN' *****?"

Yea, but I still have to spray that ---- over regardless, so why cant I just spray enough to even it out ? lol. I'll figure it out.

The texture isn't going to match and it's going to stick out like a sore thumb. Painting it will help, but the best option for saving yourself time and headache (as well as best results) is to screw the piece into it's proper spot, and fill the cracks/screw holes with the Dap or whatever you want. Don't spray the texture unless you have to.

If your woried about it that much Travis just get a pump sprayer,fill it with water,spray down all the cieling,get at trowel and scrape it all off.You can now just skip trowel it or just sand it a little,paint it and leave it.If its not your house tell you land lord that the acoustic was cousing you breathing problems and you just did him a faver and he owes you some money

lol, thanks Raffi, but I fixed it. It's ghetto but it works, and you can see that there was a concave, but they can't proove I did it

I wouldn't tell him that. The first time you ever scrape a ceiling you ---- up the tape joints, then you have to re mud those, and then prime and paint. He has a 0% chance of re-doing a tape joint to where you won't see it on a flat ceiling. It'd be better to scrape, half *** the tape joints, and rent a texture sprayer from home dizzle to shoot some thick acoustic over that awful celing.

Or he could just realize that he should do what I told him to. :P
