OK, all I have to say is DAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNN!!! When the boost hits, holy geez, you better be holding on! I work for a big retail company as a mobile audio installer, and I installed an $8000 system into one today, and when I was done I HAD to take it out on a skip test. I only drove it about a mile but I really got on it. The guy who brought it in was a ------ doofus, who paid cash for it cause his wife died and he got a big check. He bought an '03 S-10 Xtreme and an Infiniti Qx4 all in cash along side the Sti. Oh, he also has an infant. I feel bad for him in some respect then in the other hand I don't cause he was a complete dick to us. He said "I'll be checkin the mileage so I'll know if you drove it." What a ******** thing to say, thats the main reason I took it out for a joyspin. Anyway, I'm hooked and not only do I want an STi, I need one. Maybe I should look into life insurance on my wife.
We also had an EVO 8 in the shop this week but I wasn't able to drive it except around the parking lot. The STi was much nicer.

lol no, havent started trying yet. I dont have any resistance meters for testing. So I think I just might take it ALL out and install head unit w/ front and rears powered off that and see if its still there. if it is I will use a different ground for HU and then check the wiring for the front speakers. Maybe some of the wires are touching the door? would that do it?

If none of that seems to be the problem Im just gunna start adding ---- til it happens so I can narrow it down.

Sounds like a plan. If one of the speaker leads was touching the door, i.e. ground, then the deck would not produce any sound at all. Decks and amps have a protection circuit built in, that if a speaker is grounded, they will not provide output.

Yeah them STI's are nice, but kinda stupid it didn't come with no radio. But they do look clean as hell, clean and rugged. I like I like. It's not up to me, but he needs to put some of theat money into a fund for his child. ---- I hate seeing kids in raggitty old clothes while ma and pop drive a decked out escalade, not saying that this guy is like that. I'm just saying, I work at a little shop in this ghetto area and I see ---- like that all the time. Kids eatin' A skittle for dinner so mama can pay the mortgages for her 50" spinners, each one of them rims cost as much as a damn house. Kinda went off a little there, but yeah...

Oh dude, I'm totally feelin you on that. I said the same exact thing today to my friend. That money was meant to be for a house maybe and definitely for a college fund for his daughter. On the other subject I feel it was total blasphemy to even put all of that crap in that car to begin with, theres a reason Subaru didn't put all of that stuff in there in the first place. It's meant to be a racing beast, and I have never seen a Pro Rally car with a full system. I put 3 damn amps in that thing! And 2 heavy *** subs. I even told the guy he was ruining the car, he said that was my opinion. Dumbass.
