By all means, you don't have to look far to see that conservative(Republican) presidents are good at spending retarded amounts of money as well. The most recent war and all this nuclear stuff you talk about was a bad financial decision at best, but at the very least a decent national security decision (the war anyways). I'm not sure it's a good idea to leave the world unchecked, but drawn out occupying wars are not the answer either.
