Then I would try calling the cops to see what they say, that way they won't see the car or anything like it. You might want to say you are planning on buying this car, but it doesn't have a title and blah blah, but don't tell them you already have it, maybe it'll work. If they say no, then take everything out and sell or junk the shell.

You are going to have to track down the last registered owner to file for a lost title at your state office You can track this down at a police department or dmv.

If that person is deceased then you need bills of sale to file with the state to show that you are the rightfull owner. (*note that if the car has changed hands a lot and a few jokers already filed bills of sale, you will have to pay ALL taxes on all bills since/ because the car is unregistered)

buddy do a vin swap, take the dash out buy another vin and ownership off someone and take it from there, its easy and its almost impossible to get caught if you do it correctly.. scrape the one off the door or paint over it (sticker) i believe, and there is 1 under the hood (VW's anyways) just cut it out say it was rusting....

there not hard to get, try scrap yards and ----..i got 1 from a place like that
