i dont recall ever getting hassled by church people. only times i remember anything remotley close was when the JW's were trying to build a church in my neighborhood and they were trying to get people to sign a petition. yeah lets just say that lot is still empty. a couple times back in the day when i worked at stop and shop 2 or 3 tumes i helped someone out and they would be like "do you worship jesus christ" and then i would say no and they would hand me some stupid little mini bible thing.

Sacrifice a goat on the lawn. That Should do it. No disrespect to religion in general, they just shouldn't PUSH it upon people. If people want to beleive they will follow. Otherwise they will liseten to PANTERA.

A buddy of mine says he's never been convinced of anything the Bible says. I've never said it directly to him, but if he was relying on another to bring him the truth, then there's something wrong. One must seek the truth for himself.

I went in to the church looking to learn what it was all about, and never left. Not because I'm "accepted" or whatever else, but because there really is a purpose to life, and there is a promise for those who accept this purpose.

And, I've never been one to approach somebody I don't know and start bashing. My Example never did that either. If I do approach someone I don't know with hopes to speaking to them about God, I'll let the situation develop the way God wants. Sometimes the lesson is for me, and maybe patience is what I should have practiced. But EVERY time I'm led in that manner, and the conversation leads that way, the person recognizes why I'm there. Not that I'm special; I'm not. But my job is, I think.

I guess I sort of got off track. The reason I shared that last part is to show my opinion about JW's and mormons, and their door to door "witnessing".

Yes, preacher.

The only really good advice I've ever heard about this ---- is this:

Never discuss religion or politics with your friends. If you know they believe in the same ---- you do, cool...no reason to discuss it. If you don't, it's not worth it to find out you disagree and then bitch at each other forever.

The only purpose I know in life is to be happy, and then die. Turbos make me happy, and that's why I'm here (HMT). Generally speaking, about any religion you find (except the weird satan ----, etc) is essentially the same. You'll find about all the same ground rules in every piece of religious literature.

If you don't ---- with other people, do all kinds of bad ---- like steal cars and rape women...then you should be cool with anybody regardless of what their religion is....so who gives a ----?

You could worship common pea gravel, and if you never fucked with me, then I wouldn't have a beef with you. I don't understand why people get so upset when somebody wants to believe in something that doesn't agree with what they believe. Where do these ******* get off going door to door trying to tell me about Jesus - mother ****** I wasn't born yesterday...I know about Jesus and it's up to me whether or not I want to believe in him, and I'm not going to let any mother ****** try and change what I believe in.

That would be like Mr. Honda-Tech moderator coming in here and trying to tell all of us that turbos aren't the way to eternal horsepower salvation - when we all know damn good and well they are

I have nothing against the concepts of living a good life, not screwing anyone over. And to me at least, thats most of what religion is.

But so many people have died in the name of a church/belief system. I could never associate myself with organised religion, it is a mind control business.

Paragraph one and paragraph two are in direct contradiction with each other, god boy. If you can't see that, then you are obviously in touch with your religion.

Don't get me wrong, we've spoken on this subject multiple times, but I make it a rule not to blatantly offend someone while trying to deliver the good news, and I think that statement above is a little too harsh. Arguing puts people in a defensive mood already, and then they won't listen to a word you say. That's counterproductive.

A lot of times I'll ask what someone believes in as far as faith/religion before sharing mine. It puts them on a level where: 1. They're comfortable, and 2. They should expect for me to share what I believe.
