Sounds like they didn't tint the paint to match exactly. They probably got it as close as they could. Anything will change the way a color looks, especially in the sun. Like I said they probably got the color as close as they could with the lighting inside the body shop. but get it out in the sun and it's a different story.
If your that worried about her noticing, just leave it dirty.

what color is it. The body shops that we send our stuff to matches perfect. I don't know how they do it but they do. Some colors like yellow and red come out different. Also if the person doing the tenting doesn't give a ---- about mixing carefully that has something to do with it.

im about to go mix up some mud or something its white....they used the factory paint code tho i saw the guy write it down....they have to mix factory paint?

Yeah you can mix up a factory paint color, but if the paint already on the car has been subject to any type of weather conditions (which I'm sure most cars have) the color can change slightly. Thats why it's necessary to "tint" the paint to try and get a closer match to the color on the car.
