I ------- HATE C-CLAMPS!!!!!!
it took me nearly 5 hours to ------- change my brakes b/c my c-clamp died...my dad comes home w/ a nice iron 6" clamp....i ------- crack it in half. note to anyone w/ an integra 94-+...------- c-clamps dont work...you have to rotate the piston...i used a crowbar....
God damn C-Clamps!!!!

Re:I ------- HATE C-CLAMPS!!!!!!
I've always used c-clamps and I dont think the clamp was your problem. I'm not familiar with most foreign cars but I have seen some pistons that required them to be turned in but I'm not positive.
Like said above, the piston could just be froze

no...they arent frozen. i have my brakes installed and they are in perfect working order. I dont know if you guys are knowledgable in the integra brake system but it is much different from the civic i believe. The integra has similar brakes to the nsx. All i know is i cranked at my piston w/ a ------- 6" craftsman iron C-clamp and the bitch budged very lil...but i just rotated the piston and it moved enough so i could fit the caliper over the brake pads...i did use the c-clamp on one side...but i also turned the piston as well...here is a picture of what my brakes look like...kinda hard to see b/c the picture breaks everything up into seperate parts...but i def think turning the piston helped.....b/c my brakes are totally operational....

Hey Bigwig, yeah they just screw in to compress the piston. I had the same confusion when I did mine a while back, but I figured it out with a big *** screw driver. Damnit, I got kicked off the chat yesterday when we were discussing your brake setup and it wouldn't let me back on. Sorry about any problems you went through, but hey at least you know how it's done now.
