Yea, the only payne in the ***, its at my parents house 250 miles south of me. So i have to get down there on the next 3 day weekend or holiday.
I do have to dissasmble most. VC off, cam caps off, cams out, head studs off,head off,oil pan off, pickup off, windage tray off, take em out and check them. I guess thats not too bad really.
anyone remember proper way to index cp rings? are they the same as oem? i forget..

not sure but id go with stock procedure. if you have air tools it should only take an hour or two. better than pulling the engine,
buy newpistons, have the block machined...its not that bad
