Cars are in one piece, no garage, they where outside the whole time. I did find one dent on the rear passenger side door, not too bad, detuctible is $250, so I'm not sure I will fix it now

Incorrect. If the ignition is sealed it will not fail. I have had water halfway up the windshield in my truck. Many things have to be done other than the ignition too. Here is a pic of my truck.
