humm...what to do
update on the $2005 challenge car....
I went and looked at a $250 staion today, the one i talked about in another thread of mine...
tried to get it going again. No such luck. The guy said before the engine was "blown" but we were all drunk as ----, so who really knows what we talked about that night.
Make a long story short,
-I couldnt crank it
-I pulled the dip stick, very little oil :P
-Looked in the radiator for oil, no coolant, nothing in there, nothing in the resivor,
-Pulled the hose off the turbo to check the turbo, the shaft in there felt like it was connected to nothing.
So i am up in the air about using the car for the clannange? It seems to me someone ran the car with no oil, and it went, reason being, the lady said it ticks like hell...the turbo is torn to hell, no oil in the oil pan...
it just doesnt look to good.
I can get another engine from japan for about $400 through some connections over there...and the car is only $250.
so im up to $650 for the car, and i will still need to buy all the stupid ---- to install it, plus another turbo.
think i should get it and use the car or wait to see if i can come accross another?
-it also had pretty much new BFG comp T/A's on it, not to bad for autocross, so that would save me a few bucks there.
--and the body is MINT. NO rust/dings/dents/nothing.
(i also get scored on appearence)

if i had a garage, the car would be in my garage now.
and the turbo being fucked up s almost a plus, *i can upgrade and have a reason to

I would try and find a old turbo kcar, minivan, or lebaron. There pretty cheap I drove on at a junk yard my buddy works at yesterday it still ran and everything but the door seemed to fly open on hard rights or reverse donougts.

getting the motor from japan for 400 would have ended up to cost alot more, the jdm versions came with a 2.0( same as eclipse's) they are MPI too so your would have to buy an ECU and do some wiring. When is the deadline for this thing? If you change your mind and wanna get it still ill give you my 12a when i put my to4 in. Oh and you can get a motor out of a caravan or a montero and it will go in
