imagine you get to your mom's house (your parents are divorced) after school (pretend you're in school) and you call your dad to see if you little sister needed to be dropped off at practice. She doesn't need to be dropped off at practice, but, have you heard the news? what ------- news? It's hard to say this, we're the hmt family and all, but I don't usually like to mix family business with friends. in this case it's affecting my whole life, so I might as well tell you, I think it will help me deal with it since I haven't told any of my friends. My mom got arrested Tuesday morning in part of a city wide drug sting. she's charged with drug trafficing and some 4th degree firearm felony. ----. My mom got arrested 2 days ago, but she's been gone for a while. My mom left and someone else has been there, someone I don't know and I want a refund. It's probably been over six months since I noticed the change in her. She got really skinny, and she's just been acting differently, not herself. I'm still collecting pieces to this puzzle, but so far I have found out that she started doing meth for weight loss, she was getting bigger and she couldn't stand it, she was willing to do anything to be skinny again. She got addicted, she quit one job, moved to another, quit there. For a while now she hasn't had a job, she's just been doing odd jobs to make money to pay the bills, cleaning up constuction sites for my uncle's construction company, bartending, and I came to find out Tuesday selling meth. The landlord heard through the grapevine that she sold to an undercover agent.

What does this mean for me? my mom is gone. her bail is $25grand, nobody will pay the 2500 to get her out and put up the 25k in collateral because we're poor, cheap *** mofuckers and she's a flight risk. I haven't seen her or talked to her since this happened, they weren't letting anybody into the detention center until the paper work was done, and I can't go anyways, I'm 17. Everybody that could go with me is very busy, and I don't like to ask people to help me, I like to be independent.

I have to get the house we live in cleared out, and we have alot of ----. The living room is half filled with boxes and the other half with furniture, my room and my mom's room the same story. My grandparents are helping me get all this ---- out, but there's been bad blood between my grandma and my grandpa ever since their divorce some number of years ago so it's hard to get them together to work this out. My brothers and I have been irritable as ---- lately, I guess we deserve to be.

The good thing is that I do have a family that is trying to do what they can to help us out of this fucked up situation.

I don't give a ---- who replies to this, I just wanted to get it out, I haven't been able to tell any of my friends, it's just too weird for me.

damn, sucks man, sorry to hear, but hopefully if anything, your mom has set an example for you what not to do don't be mad at yourself or anyone else, your mom put you in this situation, now you have to clean up her mess since she's not around, i'd be pissed at her honestly

Hey Kyle thats some real fucked up ----, My best advice is get in there or have someone from ur family get in there when they can and talk to her and make sure she gets through this. You want her to be there for you and out of trouble when she gets out, and if you go talk to the DA he can possibly lower the bail. Im really sorry to hear this though

I've talked to 2 grandparents, 2 aunts, and 1 dad about bailing her out, all of them think it's a good idea to leave her in jail and just keep communication with her. She doesn't have anything to do until the trial, that's no good, she's goign to be going through withdrawals, that's no good, my grandma thinks she might become suicidal (but my grandma exagerates alot), it's best if she stays in so she can be monitored all the time and get the counciling and medical care she needs. I need to compose myself before I visit because I don't want to be in there blabbing like a baby and making her feel like ----, and I don't want to get mad at her and make her feel like ----. I need to be upfront and ask her what she wants me to do with everything, and I need to let her know that I still love her and that we'll get through it.

hopefully I can get back on track, I'm skipping school today because I can't focus on ---- right now, the more people I talk to about this the more I think about it and I can't think about anything else.

yeah dude, family is really all you have in life. do whatever you can to help her, i agree with the keeping her in jail thing, let here get the care she needs. just keep your head up man

Sorry to hear the news Kyle. All I can say is you are somewhat lucky that your family is there for you. I agree with her just staying in jail for a while. I know it's gonna be tough for you and your sis, but you can use this oppurtunity to get close to the rest of your family. Good luck, bro! I know things will work out. We are here for you as well!

im really sorry whats going on in your life right now kyle. Im sorry bout your mom and how your family not going to help her get out. Try everything in your power to not let this effect your life too much and learn from this. I wish the best luck and if you need anything im here for you man.
