huh...didn't know I was selling my car
Any of you guys get people who stop by out of the blue and knock on your door and ask you if you want to sell your car? Man, with my last three cars I've had people who've stopped and came up and knocked on my door and asked me if I would sell my car... First my the Z and I've had two people...one old *** dude and then a younger kid. Then the 86 I had two people, one asian kid and then just another kid. Then this past week, both guys my age who saw my VR4 while driving by. It only says VR4 on the taillights but other then that it's totally debadged. Both of them gave me their numbers and told me they were both extremely interested and to think it over and give them an offer. This just started after I got out of honda's as I never got that before. No bashing Honda's but this is a first for me. Take in mind that I never had any thoughts of selling any of these car and told anyone I was selling then when the people would stop by. The recent guys about the VR4 know their ---- and want it cause it's pretty much stock and the rarity on them. I thinking of calling each of them back and telling them 3600 cause I only paid 2800 for it and only have put a new radiator in it and the wheels I bought brand new. I really wanted and still want a Impreza wagon but couldn't find any at the time. Bluebook they don't go for much but I've heard these are like the Grand National of imports. I found one about 160 miles away for 3600 and the people said they would meet me halfway. With one kid already and the new one due at the end of August I really like the wagon for the room and just like the looks of the impreza.

It's just weird. Dudes at my door and just asking if I want to sell my car. Even with it needing a new clutch and bad turbo you think I could get 4g's for it? It's a midwest car but body is really nice besides a ding in the door and rust on the hood. I mean I drive the car every day and it never let me down once besides when the radiator blow out from a patch the old owner slapped on it. If I can't find a decent a Impreza wagon then I won't sell it. I won't settle for nothing else. But any other people have folks just stopping over out of the blue? Lol, yesterday the last guy stopped over and my wife let him in and I was in the bathroom which is right off of the living room and I was washing up in my undies and she's like..."there's someone here about your Galant". I look over and he's like 10 feet from me in my undies. Hahahahah. She's like "oh sorry I'll get you some shorts." How's that for a first introduction. :1

Re: huh...didn't know I was selling my car
Back when I had the del sol people would try to buy it, even though it was beat up
One day at work I went to my car to go home, and there was a note under the wiper saying "I would like to buy your car, please call" and had their number. Then another time I was at a gas station and someone asked if I wanted to sell it. Then finally, when I totalled it by hitting a telephone guidewire and pulling the front end in, I parked it at a nearby local gas station and when I went to get it picked up I told the gas station guy thanks for letting it sit there. He said no problem and that a couple people asked him about selling it.
WTF? The front end was tore up twice, had stock wheels on it, and was a shitty s model. I guess people just like the 2-seat targa top action.

ive had a couple random people asked if i would sell my 89 prelude, and that car is rusted beyond belief . i guess every once and a while you get that certain person that is a total enthusiast of your car. Around here i know you can sell that vr4 for about 4g's with the bad turbo
