IIRC last year Honda, Suzuki, Kawi, and Yamaha all made it into the 10's with their 600 class bikes, and a couple made high 9's by strapping them down and changing the rear sprocket. Torque from a 60mph roll prolly isn't hurting them too much since they can likely pull the front end up at that speed anyway.

My guess is the guy on the bike wasn't ready. If he gave the dude a thumbs up, he's off the clutch. That's when the teg's driver said he punched it. The guy on the bike would have to grab the clutch, downshift 3-4 gears, then go. By the time he started accelerating the teg prolly had a 4-5 car length, 15-20mph head start, and they probably didn't get above 120mph in the race.

I dunno I've ridden a 2006 r6 recently and no it wouldnt lift the front end up at 60 unless you really encouraged it by doing something like letting off and just giving it full throttle. This guys bike was likely stock (most on the street are) But yea they prolly didnt go past 120, and that bike can do at least 160... But it still didnt pass the car in that time. It also doesnt take any skill IMO to ride a sportbike in a straight line from 60-120mph.. So thats really a non issue. On a side note I dont know why so many people think its an "inexperienced rider" A monkey can be trained to run through the gears, shifting is nearly instant no matter whos doing it
