I'm in the process now following steps and I'm lost on how PeerGuardian blocks IPs. Does it just run in the background? And Bitcomet allows you to download Bittorrents from the sites listed, correct?

EDIT:

The PeerGuardian is running and it has 965MILLION blocked IPs.... What's that mean, technically, haha?

Is 314MB big? Haha, I'm downloading like 4 albums and it's like .1% done after 3 mins.

If you want blistering downloads you have to find the torrents that have mad seeders.

and yes Peer gaurdian blocks certain IP's and Subnets from seeing you. the 965 million ip's blocked means thats how many can't see you. it does not mean 965 mil have knocked on your door. lol

If you only have 3% after that long try a different file. you probably have like 1 seeder on it or something

Been using bit torrent for a while now...use bitlord, based off old tech. but still works well.
Should mention also that torrents are getting cracked down on by now, tracking and what not, its not hard to get your ip and track back to your local isp and have them call you about d/ling copywritted crap --- espcially movies these days.
Music not so much yet....

In fact the above actually happened to a guy i use to work w/

So what do i do? I get it from blockbuster and then rip it and burn it....vid quality will be much better as well
I use dvdfabdecrypter for this purpose and it can be found at:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi..._decrypter.cfm

ive been using torrents for music for a while now...never had any problems.
about a month ago i decided to give wii backups a try. last night i noticed my network was down. reseted everything and after a couple of hours i get a reference number and to call my ISP. I called they said i downloaded copyrighted content.

my question is that with peer blocker shis shouldnt happen right?
