there's actually a law here in new mexico requiring all government documents released to the public (like the papers kids take home from school and bills of sale for cars and ----) have to be printed in both english and spanish. Probably half the people here speak spanish, about 20% of those people speak english, haha.

Ha ha my father in law is straight up Polish... thick *** accent... but he came to this country 20 years ago and speaks english now. We live in New Mexico and 90% of the population is Mexican; people who come here dont' even bother to learn the language. So he puts a bumper sticker on his big 'ol suburban that says "Welcome to America NOW SPEAK ENGLISH" and it's funny because he put it right next to his Polish flag sticker.
