actually if its a c5 vette its a 5.7 liter that makes 350 hp, if its a c5 z06 its still a 5.7 that makes 405 hp, but if its a c6 vette, its a 6.0 that makes 400 hp, or a c6 z06 that is a 7.0 and makes 505 hp. the c5 can run mid 13's stock, the c5 z06 and c6 can run high to mid 12's stock, and the c6 z06 can break 11's all stock, so there is quite a difference between some of them...

That could be pretty quick.It doesnt take much with a LS1 to make some pretty good numbers.I would guess mid to low 12's with a good driver etc.

Ok scottacus. heres the deal..

properly build c5 vette with heads, assuming your talkign about the coupe and not the hardtop (hardtop's come with less options and weigh about 300lbs less), assuming the best of everything you listed (long tube headers, not shorties), the car should go roughly 12.20@120. Thats my estimate. Give or take edepends on tire/suspension. You just need to watch out becasuse those cams can make a LOT of power. Theres the magic stick which a lot of the lsx guys are using and the gains are rediculous.

And to know it all below me, the 01 z06's came with 385hp while the 02, 03, 04 z06's came with 405. Different variations of the ls6. c5 coupe on stock rubber with the right driver will go high 12's all day long. who are you kidding? an auto z28 ls1 pig will do mid 13's.

is the c5 a 2006-07 model? becuz i beat one with my turbo b16 hatch at the track this summer it was an auto and an old guy but i have bragging rights he was only pulling 13's haha his bad i guess..

c5 model is 97-2004. c6 model is 05+

he never said it had heads, in fact he said it had stock valves.
and im mostly basing my time estimates on what i have seen, and i live in colorado, the track elevation is 5,200 ft. and auto ls1 z28's run low 14's here, and a gs-r with bolt ons runs high 16's cars are severly affected by the elavation, unless they are boosted, this helps reverse the altitude effects...

I was under the impression that the c5 was the base model vette, then again i dont know ---- about gm engines.

okay well it was a c6 and he was only running low 13s
i'd take that vette and sell it for 6 hondas

haha i think its funny when people talk about nitrous like its not much at all. Ive seen some of these domestic guys running 300+ hp shots of nitrous in a stage or 2. Some guys even run fogger systems and a plate system

actually its not, I did'nt list all his mods but its pretty mild stuff, I've gone racing with him before its just a c5. Very nice and stock looking car, its also cammed.
