The girlfriend of 2 years keeps bringing up getting married. We live together, have our own home.. I think its about time to get hitched. I dont want to spend an assload on her for a ring, thinking like around 1200.00 or less. What have you guys spent/plan on spending on rocks? She wants like an oval cut, white gold at least 1cwt. I did some online looking/pricing... any suggestions?

I spent $3800 for the ring and the wedding band.
3/4 center stone e in color and SI1 certified dimond. and another 3/4 in side stones.
They are 2 seperat rings, one slides over the other.

I gave her my Grandmas old wedding ring. So it cost my about 20 bucks to bring Grandma out to lunch. Then sence she works in a lab and wears gloves all the time. She got a 100 dollar gold ring!!!

I got away with only spending 120 on rings. We had a 3000 park wedding with a BBQ. I even went to the ER after a horrible football injury. I twisted my ankle in a bad way. It still ------- hurts 4 monthes later.
