how many of you think its fun to be the under dog?
im talking about having an hmt set up on a crappy car and still smoking everyone. anyway this came up when me and a friend were talking about how funny it would be to boost a ford aspire or festiva.

i was gonna buy a gt-25 for that.. and see if i can do it to my neightbors metro with only 40k miles on it 
but the deal on the gt-25 fell out.. so the whole idea went with it

when you beat somebody who thinks their car is hot shyt with a 1988 stock looking family sedan on street tires, the beating is much more severe and ego deflating than say losing to a big nasty race car etc... so yeah, its sorta fun to be the underdog, the more they dont expect to get beat, the better

of course its fun to be the underdog. if your not you have the mentality like "oh im in a ------- porsche no one can beat me" that way you can only be disapointed. but if your in a boosted to hell econo box and you beat a porsche you kill his ego and impress yourself. and get that little boost of hey man, i ------ made that work self esteem.

4G63T in a Colt is a killer swap as well.Got my *** handed to me once by one, after I finished laughing at this idiot in a Colt. 
I love being the underdog as I live in a area where sub 14 second imports are a rarity so all the V8 boys think you can't be fast with a import unless its a STI,Supra etc.I am in the middle of a big overhauling this winter and plan on being damm close to a 11 second car, I just can't wait to stomp some big block musclecars.

some guy came to the store today for a a car battery for his '05 mustang gt350 or whatever and we got into that conversation. i asked him how much he paid for it with a stock 260ishWHP. he said around $30k. i laughed at him.
