Yeah it's too late now, but you could try running it as a second HD and try to access the files. I know when my HD wouldn't boot, literally, I couldn't do anything, just a blue screen. I bought another HD and just ran the original one as a secondary and was able to access the files no problem.

that is a good idea.

dont format the hardrive you will lose your files, if you tryed to access the drive from another computer it would say protected as well. you need to use somthing like apache to trick windows and if you installed windows over the previous version without formatting you will be able to access the computer after you installed apache and accessed the file like its a website you will be overiding windows. trusstt meeeee

thats what im saying rawr

also, always make sure you have passwords protecting your ----. BIOS, log in password, screen saver, etc... also change your admin password

I managed to get it working at like 7

0 this AM. I DLed a program called ERD Commander wich pretty much boots into some sort of windows like enviroment that allows you to access your files, change passwords ect... I didn't really play around with it much other then to figure out how to set my password back but it seems like a pretty neet program.
