How Do I Wire THese Gauges?? *Many wires* Oil and water temp
SO I bought a set of glowshift gauges with a pod. And I really dont get how to wire them.
http://glowshift.com/instructions/T_WaterTemp.pdf
They have 3 wires. BLACK/RED/YELLOW. Now black is ground and red is 12V power, can I just wire the yellow in with the red? It says its supposed to come from headlamp or other 12V source
BUT
Then theres more!
Theres also 3 machine screws on the back of the gauge, one coming from the sender, one ground, and one to ignition switch. Can that ignition switch also be wired in with the redand yellow from ABOVE?
Then theres more!!
On the back of the senders ( I have both oil and water temp) there is 2 wires, one white, one black. One goes to the sender machine screw on the gauge, is the other a ground? Is it necessary? Which colour?
I have a power distribution block in the car, basically a little port block with 12 screws all getting power straight from the battery. So Id like to basically run one power wire maybe 12gauge up to the gauge, and have the 3 power wires connect to it at one point, to save wiring and to keep away from a cluster of wires. I dont care if they light up always if they are on. But I would like to be able to change the colours on them.

Let me know if you guys can help
Thanks

If you want to hook the red and yellow wires to the same point, hook them up to an accessory 12V so they will only be powered when your car is on. You won't have the dimmer working in this configuration.
But there's more:
Yes.
But there's more again:
If you connect your power wires to this, the gauges will be lit up when your car is off and you will be draining your battery.

I will be running these gauges to a switch though, there wil be a little switchboard for a few things like the wideband and fan and such, so I wont forget to turn it off
I guess I can run em all to one 12V switched source
