I got the connector today and got it all hooked up, but I can't get any video on my TV.

Is there anything I need to do to the computer to get it to put some juice to that S-video output? Should it work all the time? I can't get ---- out of it.

I'm not sure what a "pv" is, but my computer has an S-video output that I have connected to my DVD/VCR. I can't get it to display the images/videos from my computer onto my TV. I can hear it just fine, I just can't see it.

Me no see, but me hear just fine. Got it now? :P

where is the s video out on your computer, and you're sure its an out right?

damn well wasn;t that not that hard? I understand now :P

like bub said, are you sure it's not an S-video in? Cause if it is an S-Video output, why would you have it hooked up to the Dvd/vcr? If you have your dvd/vcr hooked to your pV( :P ) and you can watch it on your pV, then that is an S-Video in.

Doc, I'm pretty sure that you have all the wires hooked up correctly. Usually on a laptop there IS something you have to do to make it output the video signal through the s-video port, it is generally not always on. On most computers it's usuall alt+one of the F keys or ctrl+one of the F keys. Keep playing around and ou'll eventually figure it out

I'm trying to watch videos(teh pr0n)from my computer on my TV. It has to go through the DVD/VCR to get to the TV to display since the TV doesn't have any S-video inputs/outputs.. Damn, didn't you read anything in this thread? :P I can't get it to "put-out" or "put-in" so I have no clue if it's an in or out. How the hell do I find out? It's not marked or anything.

have you put the dvd/vcr into line in mode? there should be a button on the front or you have to change the vcr channel to 91 or 99 or something

The S-Video is for sure an output on your laptop. You have to activate it on your computer somehow. What kind of laptop is it? I might be able to find out how specifically because they are all a little different
