how to change lower ball joint ?

during the little tranny swizzape over at stillnoturbo's house ...he broke the lower ball joint becuase it wasn't givin up the right kind of lovin' it needed.

do i need to have a ball joiint press in order to swap the lower ball joint on my crx? some guy said to just take a c-clip off and then pound it out iwth a hammer and then pound the other one in....

anyone done it or have any advice?

go get it pressed out, and the new one pressed in, it shouldn't cost too much money and is a lot safer then the hammer method.

They hammer out easy with a good sized hammer and a big punch. Best to press them in so you dont colapse the ball joint case causing memory steer. Just pull the whole knuckle.
