a vented hood works well for keeping underhood temps down, just be ready for people to call you a ricer all the time. Used with the right type of splitter it can signifigantly increase arirflow to your radiator and a FMIC. that is why I have one.

i'll agree with this guy above me. I noticed that when i went to the track and was raping the car, the underhood temperatures would ------- SOAR. i usually ended up runing with no hood which killed any aerodynamics my shoebox had left, but it ran faster times becuase it cooled down so much..

I'd say if anything, get some kind of big vent going over where the exhaust manifold is to a little ways over the valve cover, so you have a nice hot air escape..
