Home Made Turbo's ONE Rule Policy
In following with HMT tradition, the ONLY Rule you need to follow when posting here is to have RESPECT when posting on this site.
This means respecting the Moderators, Vendors and your fellow Members alike...even respecting yourself (which is what it all comes down to really).
You all know what respect means and how to give it (and not give it), so your ability to continue to be a member of this site rests on your ability to follow this fairly loose guideline.
WIKIPEDIA DEFINITION
If you don't think you can follow this simple rule, then no one can help you. Not here and not in life. If you cant say it to someone's face, then you probably shouldn't post it. Hiding behind the curtain of the internet isn't a valid excuse.
There will be a simple Three Strike Policy for this...
Here are a few examples of disrespect for those that need it spelled out...
Well...thats pretty much it. ONE rule...simple and easy. Same as before...this isn't going to be a **** Regime with modifying posts or banning users. Everything should flow along as it always has, and people should be who they are and true to themselves. This is not your typical forum and it will continue to carry on that tradition. In the past year though, unnecessary "trends" have been set that aren't good for the site or the members in the long term...its these small 'problems' we are trying to weed out.
Home Made Turbo has always been about creative, cost effective ways for everyone to be able to enjoy the satisfaction of boosting your car. It also was about sharing this info with others. It doesn't matter what parts you use, how ugly it is or how fast it goes...what matters is that you did it yourself. The core group of people that started this site and those that remain here, I know believe in this still.
This means respecting the Moderators, Vendors and your fellow Members alike...even respecting yourself (which is what it all comes down to really).

There will be a simple Three Strike Policy for this...
- 1st Infraction, your post(s) will be removed and you will be asked by a Moderator to tone it down. You will not be told what you did wrong, because chances are (if you aren't legally mentally retarded) then you already know.
- 2nd Infraction, your post(s) will be removed and you will be given a Temp Ban. This will be at least 1 week and not more than 2 weeks, depending on your level of disrespect and how soon after your first infraction the 2nd happens. Again, no reasons given...we are not your parents. Your post count will also be set to ZERO when your account Ban is lifted. If you attempt to log onto the site through a Proxy or other methods and create another account during this time, you will immediately be perma-banned.
- 3rd Infraction, you will be perma banned. Simple...
Here are a few examples of disrespect for those that need it spelled out...
- Posting Gay **** Pictures, links or anything that 'borderline' resembles gay ****...this is serious disrespect for the core values of this site.
- Using racism when it isn't needed. There really shouldn't be any need to use racists comments, unless of course you are a professional comic and its actually funny. Real racism isn't funny...and it won't be tolerated
- Scamming people or selling damaged items as usable. Nuf said...if you have a problem with a transaction that you cannot resolve amicably, contact a moderator...unless of course you foolishly bought something from Hotrex, then go ahead and fist yourself.
- Unnecessarily posting negative comments about an item someone has for sale (this includes Vendors). If you don't like their price or what they are selling, no need to let them know that, just don't buy it. If you have a offer for them, PM it to them...unless it is respectable enough to post publicly.

Who the ---- deleted my post. I call ban on everyone! If youre going to not let us call each other nigs then you cant allow any type of racism, which is going to make this site kinda bland, I honestly enjoy the racism, even if its directed towards me.

Explain how racists comments add ANYTHING to this site?
Again if its funny, or a joke (A Negro wallks into a bar...), there is certainly a place for comedy and FUN on this site.
To anyone who doesn't know this site, they are going to assume from what they will be reading a few posts in and immediately assume this is a KKK site. They wont understand the humor you might if they dont have the right perspective...

So no racism of any kind means towards anyone or any race. I can't count the times I've been called a gook on this site, and honestly, it doesn't bother me. I've been around this site long enough to know that anyone without thick skin will not last, and that is the point of hazing the noobs or making them post ****. I don't really give a ---- either way, this is GD, and the racist ---- hardly happens out of here, and if you come to this site for GD then you know what you're getting yourself into. If you cant stand the heat get out of the fire.
