Default home made roll cage

Any of you bastards make your own roll cage to stiffen up the chassis a little? I'm getting my own welder soon and was wondering if you guys had any pics of your setup or descriptions of how you did it/how it was set up. Just passing curiousity for now, probably be a summer project because school and work own me right now. I really just need some bars for my bitches to hang on when i'm railing them on my sheetmetal hatch floor

nothing will stiffin your chassis up better than a few tie bars and some huge sway bars. upper and lower on the front and the back, along with some sway bars and maybe even some poly bushings is all your gonna need.

if you are building a roll-cage to stiffin up a chassis, its probably gonna be pretty dam worthless, chssis stiffining wise. yes its gonna help, but not like the mentioned above will do.

I disagree frank, i bet youre gonna notice a HUGE increase in chassis stiffness, youre gonna eliminate most of the play between the front and rear of the car, I bet if you have big suspension mods youll especially notice it

My cage stiffen my car a whole lot. Before when I would jack it up you could about watch it twist and here it creek.
Now it seems like one big hunk of steel when you work on it.

Ever driven a caged car?

I've built a few. All 'homemade', all bent, notched and welded in my garage.
