Default On hold, phone?

ever call a company and have to go through 15 minutes of prompts? and get put on hold of minutes at a time? (like 10 min?)

use this for almost any company, useful i think

www.gethuman.com is the main website

and heres a list of companys and the "tricks" of getting a real person to talk to http://www.gethuman.com/us/

hope this helps someone out

yep, i always either do the rotary phone trick, or get real freindly with a representatve and get there direct number only when i like how they work, or i do the bilingual thing,

most of the time yelling operator or pressing 0*0*0*0*0* quickly will work

I worked as a CSR for Cingular.

I might upload their entire phone number list to that site if I can find it.

I've seen IVRs where you can press 0, get right to somebody. Some if you don't enter anything you'll get sent to a rep, while on others it'll say "sorry we didn't understand your entry, please call back and try again later. *click*." The spanish line for cingular is way quicker, they dont even get prompted, go directly to holding for a csr.

It was always hilarious listening to customers speaking to the ivr. Some are really sensitive so if rude ******* that insist on holding conversations with others while on the phone are talking, it'll think they said 'espanol" or just go to a random command. Some people would get angry and start cussing and screaming, ------- hilarious ----. I'd laugh at them so they knew I heard how retarded they are.

Yeah that's exactly what kills me. When you work a job as a cus service rep (which wasn't the right choice for me) you'll see just how stupid the world really is. They'll say ---- that isn't even an option and expect the computer to understand.

ivr: thanks for calling cingular wireless! what would you like to do today?
customer: hey can i get a ***** kit my ***** shrunk or somethin
ivr: i'm sorry, i didn't catch that. Please select from the following op...
customer: yeah my wife keeps bitchin sayin i aint doin her right or somethin
ivr: i'm sorry, i didn't catch that. Please select from the follo...
customer: hey did you hear hotrex has herpes?
ivr: please hold one second while I connect you to the next available agent
customer: GODDAMN PIECE OF ---- I NEED A ***** MACHINE GODDAMNIT ------- ---- ----------IN COCKSUCKIN ****

I swear. There are morons out there. I HATED that job.
