New letter from the water:

Yeah sorry it took so long. The e-mail out here was ------- up when we were crossing the Atlantic ocean. Like all off our e-mail was being lost while we were transiting. While we finally made it out here, where were we need to be as of right now. The gulf, what can I say its pretty muggy out here you can hardly see anything except for all the smog that's surrounds us day in & day out. The water is so nasty over here, all the oil from the rigs in the ocean have polluted the water and that ---- just saturates all over the place. The weather out here has been pretty nice for us, because I hear this heat isn't ---- for us right now. People call this place hell because of how hot it get's here. But its still to early in the cruise to tell.

Jeff should be out by now. I called him when I was in Greece for port call. A couple of weeks ago. My mom, hasn't even wrote me a letter yet on e-mail cause she's so busy with the restaurant that she doesn't have time for me I guess. Congratulations on your wedding, I hope Vegas was fun for the both of you. I still haven' t been there yet. I hope your car is finished up, by the time I get to come home sometime in early august. So we can go for a ride.

Ahh the boat life, It's not what I expected from listening to my recruiter tell me about it when I first signed up. It sucks out here plain and simple until you get the chance to hit ports which isn't enough in the six month period they give us. The officers are cool with us but their in there own world, busy with flying and never really pay much attention to the maintainers who keep the jets working 24-7. They don't mess with me so I don't pay much attention to them. The boat life gets you really stress sometimes like you you wish that someone would start ---- with you so you can have an excuse to knock the ---- out of that person and relive some anger lol. The boat just ***** with your head, like there's nothing really to do here to keep your mind off the this place. So whenever I get off work I just workout in the one of the gyms they here, or read some books and listen to some music to pass the time.

Today was a bad day one of our engines had a bad starter on it so I had to replace it, it only takes about twenty minutes and two body's to do. While the only bad thing was that it was during flight schedule so the 18's and 14's were taking off on the catapults on the right of us since our bird was facing towards the side of the ship. I swear there's nothing like having a 18 going to full power on the cat while taking off cause all the thrust coming form the exhaust just gets blown all over you. So here I am trying to work on the engine during launch's. It's hard to describe, but the feeling off all that hot air just pounding the ---- out off with degrees reaching at about 90-100 which is hot for anyone being blown all over your exposed skin. That ---- is crazy it's so hot that you find yourself covering your face from getting burned. You just have to take cover and wait till they launch its pretty funny. But whenever I have time I just stand there and watch the 18's take off at night cause that ---- is crazy. You can almost feel the raw power coming from the engines your teeth start to chatter your boots start to shake it's awesome then when the afterburners light up. The flight deck has this certain glow to it from the exhaust. Its an amazing feeling to watch them take off only standing 5 feet away.

So that was my day today just working like every other day. I really couldn't tell what day it is most of the time in less someone tell's you. Everyday is the same that's why I know im not staying in the navy cause of the boat life. I'm going back home when I get out and going back to school. Florida is ok, but the west coast is tem times better.

While I better get going cause I have to get back to work, talk to you soon take care tell cari I said hi pe@ce Ricky

i just got back from my 4 month deployment.. Air Force represent!! I work as a vehicle mechanic and where I went to, I didnt really do that much, pretty laid back. Lots of drinking and smoking, which I dont normally do, I did while deployed.

I gotta give mad props to the infantries, especially the ------- marines. man, those guys are ------- killers (well thats what they train for). If you like action (such as shooting many types of weaponry) then Infantry is for you my man. They get all the fun. (and danger)

Overall, I liked my deployment. It was nice meeting and learning from lots of people. That and you get to save some $$. And for the past two weeks, I've been doing nothing but buy ----, and buy more ----.
