Lighten up, I was merely poking fun at the fact that you always seem to be the voice of reason amongst a site full of drunk, **** addicted, bench racing ********. What you suggested would certainley be taking the high road but you and I both know that's not what these threads are about. They are about who can come up with the most fucked up ---- to do to someone cleaverly, with the final impact geared twords property damage, injury, and of course humiliation.
Further more, I beleive it was you that coined the nickname Tough-Gay so I guess all's fair the next time you botch a thread. Besides, I along with everyone else here respect you, so when I say GayDee, I meen it in the NICEST possible nogglet way.

Get the locktite that creeps. I think its purple. Its designed for thread locking a nut that is already in place. Apply to all of the locks. It will only harden in the areas where it has creeped in so its easy to clean up after. If he ends up having to replace all of the locks it would be pretty expensive.

The guy is more than aware of the issues. It's been an on going problem over the 7 years. The guy is just a bad person. I don't want to get into too many of issues, but overall he hasn't done the right thing. Any time my Dad has approached him in a business like manner, the guy either blows him off or does something spiteful for no reason. When my Dad was leaving today, he was running a little late so as he was leaving, he noticed the landlord/previous owners car pulling around. He doubled back and it appeared that the guy and his son were removing the banner. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
As far as what Joey said. He is more or less correct. Doing something would be traced back to us immediately. The issue is the guy is just spiteful and by him posting the banner and trying to put direct competition next to us, he is trying to put a hurt on our business. Honestly, no one in their right mind would put a business like ours right down the street from us. There simply isn't enough demand to have it work. So the guy is just shooting himself in the foot. As far as principle is concerned, it's just unnerving to have someone go after you and try to make you lose money.
We'll see how things work out in the next few days. I just like to see the deranged minds on HMT come up with good ways to get this guy back. If we can direct thoughts more away from vandalizing the building it would be great though. Legally speaking we will be responsible for any damage that takes place during our lease so I'm thinking more things I can do and less things my dad would be responsible for.
Rsmith, most people change the locks after they move into a new building as long as their lease doesn't state you can't. It's supposed to be one of the firstthings you do when you move in somewhere. Knowing who can and cannot get into your property is a pretty important piece of knowledge
