Well it is almost time. I couldn't wait anymore so I took out the factory manifold, hanged the turbo manifold and I see that the wastegate will not fit or the hood won't close if set right on the manifold.

So I guess I'm going to have to find more piping to put it at an angle or something......

i have been practicing my tig skills the last couple of days. it will hold and look ok

You mean the welds will hold an look ok? hahaha.

It's fine as long as it holds. My dad bought me a wire flux core welder. I still haven't had time to play with it. As long as it holds, I don't care much about the looks.

I think we are going to have fun with the downpipe too. I got a half radiator and all, but it looks like it's going to be a tight fit.

my tig welds will hold for sure, but they dont look horrible either. they will be a lot better than flux cored mig welds

go ahead and try it, you know what, while you're at it, take the Element too. Then grab the k24 and put it in the hatch. I'll get rid of the payment on the Element, so it's a win win situation.
