HMT= Home Made, not cheaply made.
if you can get your build done for cheap, great. if you can't, glad you have money.
The point of the site is not to make the shittiest looking setups, it's to make your own ----, at whatever price it may be.
The cheaper the better, of course.

HMT is not about shitty welfare builds made of greasy half broken parts, there is nothing wrong with the $200 junkyard specials so dont take that the wrong way I repsect some people are on tight budgets. It is about doing it yourself weather that is a 800whp monster with the best of the best parts or dirt cheap.---- taking it to a shop go buy some tools do some reading and build it yourself.Im a DIY guy at heart and that is why i like this place.I make more money a year then the average career person and could easly afford a fullrace kit and all that ---- but i want to learn the skills and enjoy the fact that i built it myself. There is too many dumb 17 year old kids on this site who need to shut the ---- up,get off the internet and get out in the garage and build something worthwile or at least attempt it.As well the lack of effort i see put in is truley sad take some pride in your work, get some wire loom, grinder and paint and clean your shitty sloppy work up.My first $700 turbo kit i built from junkyard ---- and it looked as good as any store bought kit and worked as well/better then some. That is HMT nignog

Even my first "ghetto'd" hf/14b combo looked pretty decent for the $500 price tag I made it for. And since that one all my builds kept getting better and better. The reason for this site is to share ideas and sharpen your own skills so that every build after will be better than the one before it. I agree, there's too many homies on here jerkin' off instead of in their garage...get out there and build some ----.

I think this thread calls for a show of some hmt setups ...
just to show that theres no full race bullshit in here
heres my gangsta ride
here we have a custom built charge pipe (cold side) made by me&I industries , as you can see the liberal use of flux core wire and nig nog measurements that can be found in my build thread https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/index.php?topic=86814.0
after a heavy coat of jbweld they actually hold pressure too
Here you can see the liberal use of mechanics wire imported from the far off land of china, blow off valve( again from china) secured with jbweld (also custom) and some other african american rigged ---- that should be fairly obvious to anyone that isn't blind, lol.
and finally here we see the learning curve of doing ---- yourself (mostly while drinking or already drunk) and not having anyone to say " Hey, how the ---- are you planning on closing the hood with the BOV like that dummy?" or " Man, I think you should turn that wastegate around so it doesn't melt your timing belt"
I think as long as you do ---- yourself you are HMT, no matter how it looks or what it costs, some have more skills than others.
