HMT - Appriaise my 240sx please
<font face="Verdana" size="2">
Engine
*The engine has great compression (180 across the board). I am not sure
why it is not running well. It's probably something simple like a bad
injector or spark plug wire, bad TPS, MAFS or something. I have removed
all unnecessary equipment from the engine, bay. No EGR, AAC valves. Only
vacuum operated components still on the car are the FPR and secondary butterfly
actuator. Feel free to send me an email and set up a time to come see/drive
the car before the auction is over if you like. I'll be out of town or
busy most weekends because I'm in the process of moving
Transmission & Drivetrain
Suspension
Body
Other
Engine
- New spark plugs
- NGK spark plug wires
- Nismo motor mounts (less than 1k miles)
- New coolant temp sensor
- New air filter
- New fuel filter
- New oil and filter
- Car has a stock exhaust that I had to do some welding on in order to get
the car ready for selling. It has some pin-hole leaks in the exhaust. - **Runs enough to get where you're going but doesn't run properly.
Engine reported to have "high miles" You may want to consider towing if
it is going far.

Transmission & Drivetrain
- Transmission shifts smooth. All synchros are good
- Nismo transmission mount
- JDM Silvia VLSD - works awesome
Suspension
- KYB AGX adjustable shocks (less than 12k miles)
- Suspension Techniques lowering springs (less than 12k miles)
- SS Braided brake lines (less than 12k miles)
- Hawk pads (up front, less than 12k miles)
- Aluminum subframe spacers
- Auction includes a pair of wheels that match the front.
- Subframe spacers make for a slightly noisy ride because vibrations from
the road and differential come through the chassis more, but decrease wheelhop
substantially.
- Beautiful S14 SE seats. They ARE NOT PURPLE. My camera makes
them look purple, but they are dark blue and light blue. Very nice
seats. - Crack-free dashboard.
- Converted from HUD to standard instrument cluster
- Carpet is kinda purple and has the standard missing carpet near the trans
tunnel, but the floor mat covers that up - New head liner
- Power windows work great
- The car previously had an e-manage so instead of soldering back the wires,
I got a 100% stock harness from the junkyard and installed it. No
spliced engine/ecu wires! - Sunroof does not leak
- New shift boot
- Passenger side power window switch cover missing. I keep forgetting to get
one from junkyard. - No radio is included
- Car is running an Auto trans ECU so it idles a bit high for a few seconds
after coming off the gas. - Missing cover for ECU. I'll try to find it.
Body
- Front bumper sags a bit but can be adjusted to look better
- has a couple dents and dings. Behind the driver door, there is a
dent I tried to pull out, thus the hole there. - Spoiler is only held in by a couple bolts, I lost the others. Makes a
little noise going over bumps - Shaved trunk keyhold
- Shaved Antenna hole
- Trim around back window still seals fine, but is a bit dryed out and could
use replacing if aesthetics are important to you - Car has been spray painted, obviously.
Other
- Brand new Walbro 255 fuel pump
- Brand new battery

Known fact is that most parts you put on your car are lost after they are installed, I mean the money. Some things big upgrades count, but some other things like springs, clutch, axles, people really don't care for them.
I would say $1,000-$1300...

Your never going to get out what you put into a car. Just becuase you paid $1000 for parts doesn't mean the car is worth $1000 more. Bottom line is you have a spray painted car that doesn't run, thats not going to pull in top dollar. My friend bought his 240 the exact same thing as yours except for the body was good and it ran for $500.

It all depends on the market also....Here in Florida they are going for $2500 to $3000 in decent running condition, friend of mine payed $3500 for a convertible, because he wanted an auto convertible, yeah he's kinda gay like that....but the car is mint....
