same thing but i will type it slower:

if they total your car, they will pay you blue book, and let you buy it for a very cheap price. so you will have your car and what they thought it was worth so you can fix it.

a friend of mine got t boned and they let him buy the car for $50 and gave him blue book for it. so he ended up with the car and everything in it and a pocket full of cash.

i'm not seeing a problem.

What do you have to go through to get a totaled car back on the road legally? Just have it able to pass inspection?

i think it all depends on where you live.
and to save money get the dash that doesn't have a passenger airbag. i know in WA you have to have an inpestion, and they look at receipts to make sure you didn't use stolen parts. oh and if you get an airbag off of ebay make sure you have a bill of sale with a copy of the title from the car it came from, a friend of mine just ran into that problem.

That sucks about your car and the poor dog. Is insurance gonna cover you?

The dog got owned-- I feel horrible about it because I would be pretty upset if it happened to my dog, but I really couldn't do anything to avoid the dog, it happened too fast. I don't have collision, but because his dog wasn't on a leash, his insurance is supposed to cover it. Kinda shitty to have to pay for someones car after they killed your dog, but i don't have the money to cover it myself

Try to find the owner and sue them.
