High Millage + Boost?
Ok I searched this out before and did not really find anything concreate.
here is the story my accord has been mine for 4 years and was my dads before and highways driven abour 100 miles a day not stop and go cruise control set at 60mph 90% of the trip, it got serviced everytime at Honda Dealer as well. Now the car has ~190k as i added roughly 40k miles in my 4yrs of taking it over...
now i want more power, car has it all except turbo or a engine swap, i kno the h22 does not take boost well and that the F22 takes boost good. Should i do a leakdown/cmpression check and see if the numbers are good enough to boost?
anyone else have high millage hiway driven cars that you boosted? good or bad results?
thanks

Re:High Millage + Boost?
i dont think high miles is much as an issue as compression. As long as the compression test turns out good go ahead and boost it. But i would gets some new parts like timing belt, spark plugs, oil changed, etc etc the usual stuff also.

i say do it, if it spins a bearing then you'd have to replace all that stuff anyways. if its all worn out

That was my plan. it should really read H22 sleved awaiting boost or a Boosted F22...
Talking to alot of people here made me reconsider my plans.
