Re: hf mani for california only?
std is the one in the middle with the #3 on the first runner. https://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_p...ld_all_1_P.jpg
theres no way that it was an std mani. it shouldnt be that long of a manifold. the bolt pattern isnt even the same on the exhaust

my point is that there's no way i could bolt a turbo onto that style of a manifold. ive almost gotten to the point of getting a log kit. if you add up the 50 bucks for the hf manifold, and the other 50 for the adapter. it doesnt seem that chaep anymore. besides, i could put an external wastegate on the log mani in the future.

my point was, you told me it wasent an std manifold. I told you theres more than one type. and of course you cant bolt a turbo to it. but with some immagination and a u bend. You could give it the reach around. like this. heeyy, now you have a super cool top mount!! all the kids on the street will envy your mad rare std manifold. and now you dont have hte waste gate problems that the HF manifold runs into. See, its nothing a little creative problem solving cant fix....

if you want it to look good then go buy a log or somthing. i dont think using an hf mani looks good. im personaly planing on using the reach around tenique on my celica. but theres alittle more room since the engines tilted back. i dont think it will look to bad when its done. since i can keep the factory heat sheild and everything.
