That's the motor that put me on a diet.... My whole boat wieghs in at 1700lbs... So I'm thinkin' I need to drop another 450lbs and I'll have me a waterocket...
Also I was just looking at another guys set-up were he added another rotor right on their. Just machined the eccentric shaft and stuffed bitch on there. I think a 3 rotor sounds nice!!! no need for a turbo... maybe...NOT LOL!!!!!

Rotary engines can be reliable , but they need a ---- load of maintenance work done on them.
Way more than any other piston engine.Sounds like a cool project , turbo rotary FTW !!!

Holy, ive always loved rotary's and boats, but i thought my boat was fast (86 19' Open Bow Ciation W/ A 450hp LT1 W/ A Volvo Drive, 80mph across the water no prob) but that thing is a death trap

as far as rotarys and dsm's being unreliable, i have heard it all. As long as you do a Complete ( i mean top to bottom, damn near rebuild) tune up on them, and keep the maintanance up preferably before its due, you shouldn't have any problems. But they are just like a honda - ---- breaks. doesn't mean its not reliable but it does mean a buzzkill every now and then. i love rotarys though, just the thought of having a fuel and spark system that could let me hit 15-16k rpms makes my wallet sad though. but a turbo rotary boat sounds ****.

Don't worry dude, you can mount a rotary to anything. Somebody, somewhere, makes a bellhousing adapter.
