We fought a revolution over taxes far less than what they are today. It sickens me that people are willing to accept an income tax as high as it is.

i pay ~30-40% now in just federal income tax alone. ths isnt even counting everything else under the sun.
i'd say i keep 20% of my income.

If you say so. So you are paying 80% in taxes an other fees mandated by various government entities? I call bullshit on that one. There is not way you could afford to pay all of your necessities on 15K a year.

you pay tax on your phone service, driver's license/everything at the DMV, gasoline, your water, your power, parking at work...
everything you buy is subject to massive taxation, those taxes are passed onto your by whatever company you're buying goods from. don't think for a second that if the govt raises taxes on permits to run/produce/sell beef that those costs won't be passed onto you.
every single thing your pay to the govt is a tax. figure it out for yourself. before you post.

So ------- what. there are other things at work there. Denmark is the happiest place on earth and they pay like 40-50% income tax.
So how will the gov make money if we dont tax anything. im saying eht income tax is retarted and needs to be removed or reworked into something different but saying sales tax and all of that needs to go is well biting hte hand that feeds you. you cut all the income and we wont be able to pay for ----.

the constitution doesn't give the federal government the power to do what it is doing. the govt DOESN'T FEED ME ANYTHING. IT STEALS MY MONEY AND GIVES IT TO OTHER PEOPLE.

Do you also think that you don't benefit from these horrible taxes that you don't benefit from government programs?
Is so, then maybe you should think before you post. People are quick to bitch about paying all of the taxes that we have, and I think they outrageous at times as well, but how else are we going to fund public programs that benefit all, not just the poor? Tell me Mr. Infinitude of wisdom. Are you totally self sufficient? Do you think your life would be better with no public programs?
