Don't need to.

you dont "need" to, ,but it can't hurt, ignitions dont cost a heck of a lot, so knock yourself out.

I need to get a boost gauge, and colder plugs, I have a/f gauge, what wires do hook up on the ecu to read a/f. its the blue wire on the afc, right? also what is good ignition, I was thinking of the MSD 6BTM with the boost retard. any info on the ignition thing let me know, thanks ray
