Is the CEL on in the camry? Yeah like it was stated before pull the pan again and check for clutch, plant, etc maiteral. Pull the filter and crack that sucker open and see if there is any build up. It sounds like the forward clutches are out to tell you the truth. These trannies are not hard to pull, and yes you have to drop the sub frame also. I work in a tranny shop doing R&R work so I see this ---- all the time.
