yeh it is kind of a waste of time to use it as a "anti-theft" device. but for other people who want to replace their glass for safety/racing reasons then its not....bump for a write up

to those who dont know, there is a way to break lexan 1/4" and below:

brake parts cleaner (non aresol)
3lb sledge hammer.

if you poor the parts cleaner on the window and hit it with a sledge hammer it shatters just like glass. i learned this from a theif myself and seen it happen in action.

ok don't get lexan. thats dumb. If I wanted in your car I would get one of my many honda keys and make one of them work. Its that easy. I have gotten into my friends car and drove off. He didn't know how I got his key but I never did. Just get an alarm with a light and hope for the best. And mabey put a camra outside too.

well, i have been sleeping over at my girlfriends house, and doing a lot of thinking about what i am going to do about my car. you guys have convinced my that lexan windows would not be worth the time/effort/hassle. so what now then? im not sure. i was going to go to the police station today, but they are closed for the holidays. tomorrow i will go and find out exactly what i can do to help catch these ----------ers. i really want to take action, this ---- is getting out of hand when i cant even park my car where i live. as far as the video camera, it would not help if these ********* get in my car and steal it. i am going to ask the police what would happen if i were to sleep in my car every night with a video camera, a weapon(different types), and a cell phone. i dont care about going to jail anymore... this ---- is like a slap in the face. i cant stay at my girlfriends house forever, and i refuse to stay afraid of these ----------ers, or allow them to further vandalize my car. i figure as long as i do not kill them, i wont go to jail for longer than a few months.

you know this country is going to ---- when a man cannot even legally protect his own property from dirty shitbag theives. other than that, i guess i will try to hook up extra sirens, turn up the sensitivity on my alarm, and notify as many of my neighbors as possible to help watch out. i know some of my neighbors got my back because their ---- is always getting stolen and broken into as well.

You live in Vegas right? The whole honda thing out here is becoming so cal. Your best bet is do you live in a gated community and have a garage. It's well worth the couple extra 2-300 hundred a month. No problems for me so far. Also you could have lexan roll up and run it on the track just like glass dont see why not. But lexan gets fogy and scratches are really easy to get. There maybe another style that doesnt scratch up so easy. Also the steering wheel hub removal is a great idea but a little expensive. Nobody is stealing a car with no wheel. Besides that the typical kill switches and removal of fuses, ecu always stop thieves. Saved my car and my friends.

yeah, i live in vegas. i wish i could afford to live in a gated community. hell, even a house with a garage would be great. actually, where i live isn't really a bad area. they just have all these section 8 ------- losers living here and it ***** everything up. i have an alarm, multiple killswitches for fuel and ignition, plus a club. im not really worried about my car getting stolen(the only way somebody is going to take my ---- is with a towtruck), im just sick of people trying - and vandalizing my car in the process.

Put in a kill switch or two and buy yourself a one of long *** master locks and then do this with it:

I lock my ---- up every night.

Another thing you can do is to move your hood popper. I moved mine to way up under the dash. I also installed locking hood pins.
It gives me piece of mind.
