HELP! i think im getting scammed!
sup fellas. so i'm pretty sure i'm getting fucked over by a guy i was supposed to get a motor from. anyways, i'm looking for someone whos knowledgable about internet ----. give me some advice, maybe help me get more info on this ***. like if the number and name i got is actually his..anyways, here's my problem, cliff notes under the rant.
i bought a motor from a member on the clubcivic forum (jdm style ef), and sent him a lump of the money about a month and a half ago (may 7th) via wire transfer, and agreed to pay the rest once i get my motor. well, it's been a month and a week since he told me that he sent it out (may10th). he claims that he called the shipping company and was told that it was lost during shipping; so he says he filed a lost package claim against that company. well i called the company, and they said that they dont send packages that large. i asked him for a tracking number, and he said that he was told that it would be emailed to him, but never got it. so i think i'm getting scammed.
cliff notes:

-paid majority of it up front on may 7th via wire
-haven't gotten anything since. he tells me that it was lost during shipping and is filing a lost package claim against the shipping company
-says he didn't get a tracking number (supposed to be emailed to him?)
what should i do? like, what authorities should i contact; any that deals with internet fraud? i DO have his name, where he banks, his account number, phone number, old address, and i also kept all conversations we had via email and AIM. so what can i do? can you guys get more info on this ******? help me out please. thanks for your time.

Well either contact the cops/take him to court, show up at his door with some large friends, or throw some change at some nogs on here to pay him a visit.

he lives along the illinois/indiana border area. i know some of the guys here can dig up dirt on a person. help me out!
