Run your gas tank down to about 1/4 of a tank..then pour a bottle of rubbing alchohol in...get the car up to runnging temp, go get the test, pass with flying colors...go directly back to the gas station and fill the rest of the way up with gas. (the alchohol will make it run HOT so don't leave it like that...just dilute it by filling up the rest of the way when you are done) Works like a charm in Colorado

i've heard of that isopropyl alcohol trick before.. anyone else use it? Something I gotta keep in mind.

Raff, if TX is anything like AR then emissions shouldn't be a problem at all. ---- this local exhaust guy just cut the cats right out of the exhaust system when he replaced the the whole setup on the K5 a few years back.. cost like $120
