Default hello people

Sup? Hey Jeff, i decided to work on my Prelude instead of getting a new car....i guess i didnt see what was infront of me. OK, listen up. Ive been here w a while i just choose not to talk much, i met 2 people from this site and i have learned alot. I have $520 personally invested, on top of $1200 for the price of the car and transmission work. As we speak the body panels that i pulled and purchased from the junkyard are being put on the car and alligned. I need to know what you guys suggest for a motor. I have asked thius before but you guys dont see the big picture. The H22 is a 2 or 2.2 liter engine with an output of what 200hp? well my car has a B20A3 in it that is a 2 liter. It is carburated, so that means not fuel return. i think it would be cheaper to go with a B18 however i dont know if there will be a mounting problem. I need you boys to help me and tell me if custom engine mounts have to fabricated or, hasport or some other company has a mounting kit for it. Serious people only. you ---- around on this thread it wont matter, i just want some information fast.

Ah ---- forgot to mention its a 1989 Honda Prelude 2.0S with unknown amount of miles on it the B20a3 is a SOHC 12 valve motor....i think thats right. Its a 5 spd manual....and thats all i can think of. Want to go with a B18 because it is smaller with equal output or close to it.

I like how people speak to jeff personally on this site, like he reads everything on here.

it's going to be easier to put an h or f series motor into your car than a non prelude b series, or so I've read. I can't say for sure if hasport has the mounts for it, but they don't hide anything on their site, it's all there for you (www.hasport.com)

the h22 is a 2.2 liter, honda doesn't try to fool you with their engine codes, it's all right there for you, b16 is 1.6 liter, b18 is 1.8 liter zc is c.0 liter, etc.

about the h22, a friend of mine got an obd1 jdm h22 put into his prelude with aem intake and greddy exhaust and he dynoed at 172, I think they're rated at 195, search for it, info on that ---- is abundant.

dude. you could have checked their site faster than you typed that post. no they dont have anything for your car on their site, they may however be able to help.

HASport Performance
4046 E. Winslow Ave.
Phoenix, AZ 85040

602.470.0065

Place racing however has a mount kit for your car
www.moonscryer.org/placeracing.pdf
if i were doing a swap id put a b series in your car if it were mine.
good luck

Yes, i think if i contacted hasport directly they might let me in on some info on a mounting kit for a b series. Im not worried about the engine swap until i get the money for the motor itself...i also like the be series a little 1.8L will give me alot of room in the same spot a 2.0L once was....and then adding a turbo kit would be a breeze
